Wait what. So me being in Europe, Sweden. I can not participate?! I write and speak near perfect English yet I can not participate because the nation I live in does not?
And there is a very good reason for why Dust won't come to the Xbox. The reason is Xbox Live. CCP can't use that in order to merge the game with TQ and obviously Microsoft do not approve of online systems that operate outside of their reach on the Xbox.
Edit:
There is nothing on the sign up page stating that if you are in the EU, you have to be in an English speaking country? |

Seriously, CCP, you wanna sabotage EVE by making us depend on Halo/Call of Duty/Battlefield console kiddies for planet-side stuff?
inbe4 butthurt brats quote-mining me with ad hominem attacks.
Give the whole "console kiddies" argument a rest.
Just because there are more children on consoles doesn't mean that every user is an 11 year old. Besides, 90% of the PSN community does not own a microphone for their PS3 so you will never know their age.
So next time, try and come up with a genuine argument instead. |

I think people need to calm down. Nothing is set in stone and it may or may not eventually make to the PC.
We know almost nothing about this game. Let CCP work their magic before you blurt out your disappointment.
And like I said before, it is quite obvious as to why the game isn't for the Xbox 360. Microsoft act as Gestapo when it comes to Xbox Live. CCP having their own online system for Dust 514 so that they can integrate it with EVE Online? Nope, not gonna happen. Not without us all being forced to use GFWL with EVE and having active Xbox Live Gold accounts in order to play. So everybody can stop hoping for an Xbox 360 release already. |

The original playstation was celebrated as a phenomenon for bringing 25-35+ into the computer games market on a large scale (i remember an article when I used to buy the magazines) and you will notice that a large portion of playstation titles are mature content as opposed to nintendo and sega (RIP) who were making (and in nintendos case) are still making, games targetted at a younger audience.
Just because the most vocal people on COD's voicechat are squeaky kids, don't assume that the rest of us are no-brainer kiddies.
So long as DUST brings the quality and depth of EVE, you can rest assured that it'll attract mature players who're likely to then try EVE. All this 'I won't buy a console for one game/PC to play EVE' is a crock of ****. As stated earlier, there are some 55 million ps3 owners out there already so it really doesn't matter if you buy a ps3 or not.
I have to agree with you.
And besides, Dust 514 may or may not become the best game of all time on the PS3. I still wouldn't buy a console just for a single game. There are plenty of other titles available for the PS3 that made me happy with my purchase.
I think it is good that CCP are expanding into the console market and reaching out to a new audience. It would of course be nice if the game eventually made it to the PC as well but still. |
